Riverdale’s  Fred Andrews of Andrew’s Construction, otherwise known as Luke Perry, has passed away. This has saddened many as his death was unexpected, since he was only 52 years old.

Perry suffered a stroke on February 27th, 2019, and was taken to the hospital after paramedics were dispatched to his home in Sherman Oaks, California. Reportedly, Perry never regained consciousness after his “massive” stroke, passing five days later on March 4, 2019. Co-stars such as  KJ  Apa, who plays Fred Andrews’ son Archie, posted a photo of himself and Perry, with the caption: “Rest in love, bro.”

Other co-stars of Perry, such as Lili Reinhart who plays Betty Cooper, and Camila Mendes, who plays Veronica Lodge, has also posted their condolences on his passing on social media.

On the premier of Chapter 49: Fire Walk with Me, fans of Perry and the show got to see the actor one last time in the show, as the episode was filmed prior to his unexpected death. At the end of the episode, Perry was paid tribute with the final frame saying: “In Memoriam: Luke Perry 1966-2019”

Perry will always be remembered as the loving father of both his family in real life and on the screens.
